About Prof. K. B. Dabade
Prof. K. B. Dabade (1950 Belagavi) graduated from S. B. Arts College Vijayapura in 1970 and obtained MA from Karnatak University, Dharwad in 1972. He was awarded Ph, D. from tJniversity of Poona (Pune) in 1994 under the guidance of Dr. Anuradha U. Bhoite. He was Head of the Department of Sociology in Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, tJdupi from 1974 to 2008, At Regional and National Conferences he has presented papers and participated in International Conferences. A number of articles are contributed by him to ‘Free Press Journal’, ‘Brahmavadin’, ‘Samaja Shodhana’, ‘Souvenirs’. ‘Pathway to God’. He is the author of ‘Sociology of Religion: A case study of Nimbargi Sampradaya'(1998.Mangata Publications. Mangalore. Digitized on 22nd June 2009-the University of Michigan) and in Kannada ‘Nimbargi Sampradayadalliruva Ketavu Prachalita Kathegalu’ (2000 first edition. 2002 second edition Shri Gurudev Ranade Samadhi Trust, Nimbal R.S. Compilation of some anecdotes prevalent in Nimbargi Sampradaya). Dabade is closely associated with Nimbargi Sampradaya and interested in Sociology of Religion and other allied disciplines. He was a trustee of Shri Gurudev Ranade Samadhi Trust. He is currently in Editorial Board of an English International Journal, ‘Pathway to God’. published under the auspices of Academy of Comparative Philosophy and Religion founded by Sri Gurudeo Dr. R. D. Ranade in Belagavi.
